Wet and stormy morning

Widespread rain and embedded heavy thunderstorms will continue to impact SE TX this morning. Strongest storms will move east out of the I-45 corridor south of Houston soon, but areas of rain and isolated lightning strikes will continue over the Greater Houston Area through at least mid morning. This afternoon looks mostly dry around Houston, but can't rule out a few isolated showers and week thunderstorms...higher chances will be north of I-10.

Shower and thunderstorm activity will continue to increase to the east across southern LA this morning, with widespread showers and thunderstorms likely through midday. Many areas will see mostly dry conditions by mid afternoon, but can't rule out isolated showers and thunderstorms through early this evening. Rainfall totals in Cajun Country will average around 0.5 to 1.5 inches, but local totals of 3-6 inches are possible where heavier storms develop. Coastal parishes will see the highest chance of heavier rain totals.

Steady rain and isolated lightning strikes are continuing as expected over the Houston area. Likely won’t see any improvement for at least a couple hours. Typical spots that see ponding of water will see issues through early afternoon.
