Thunderstorms are redeveloping a bit more quicker and are a little more robust than previously expected over the Houston area in the wake of this morning's activity. Look for a good scattering of thunderstorms through mid afternoon with occasional lightning and brief heavy rain. Things should settle late this afternoon and early this evening.
Over Acadiana, a more steady rain has settled in for some areas, but overall not too bad right now. There are some nasty cells over coastal areas of SW LA, but much of that won't translate inland. By late afternoon and early this evening, there could be more scattered thunderstorm activity which areas of brief heavy rain and lightning.
