Still hot...but drier

Most areas missed out on rain ahead of the front Monday and yesterday, but at least the humidity has been cut and things are not feeling quite as oppressive. Don't worry though, humidity starts climbing again tonight and tomorrow so enjoy the drier-ness while you can.
Very hot afternoons and little to no rain chances will settle in through Saturday. A sea breeze shower or storm could pop Sunday with at least a slight increase in rain chances Monday as we see Gulf Moisture moving inland. Models are catching onto a disturbance moving through the Gulf early to mid next week which has at least a low potential of becoming a tropical system. Still a lot of uncertainty on what will happen, but if the timing is right it could certainly become a tropical storm or hurricane. The ridge will likely be strong enough to push whatever develops westward into the western Gulf with the deepest moisture spreading into Mexico or Texas. We'll have to keep a close eye on it. Hopefully it will bring some much needed rainfall to Texas.
