Spring is the best (042403)

Updated: Apr 25, 2023

Praise God for the great weather in Spring along the Gulf Coast. It's 90s and humid one day, then 60s and raining the next. Then we get blue bird skies. It's a meteorologist smorgasbord and I love it. This week, we probably won't see much blue bird skies, but temperatures will be wild...starting off cool, but climbing well into the 80s by Wednesday. A couple fronts will start the downward trend in temps to end out the work week and start the weekend...weekend is looking pretty good right now. Rain chances will generally be low with the more active storm track to the north over OK and AR. Best rain chances will hold off until Wednesday night or early Thursday morning with a cold front. Strong storms aren't looking likely, but still early to be sure. One wild card is a weak disturbance could produce a couple thunderstorms across Southeast Texas Tuesday afternoon/evening. If you're unlucky (or lucky) to see storms, they could have some frequent lightning and gusty winds (heavy downpours too of course)
