Rinse and repeat

Very similar set up this morning compared to yesterday; although, we are seeing a bit more activity offshore Galveston which usually means a little better coverage of storms inland during the afternoon along the sea breeze. I hope that is the case. There won't be widespread showers and storms for sure, but maybe a bit more than yesterday. Further east over Acadiana, yesterday was bone dry, but I think there will be at least one or two sea breeze showers and storms this afternoon.
An upper level trough of low pressure will allow rain chances to inch up a bit more tomorrow and Friday, so look for a bit more coastal showers and storms in the morning and sea breeze activity in the afternoon. Nothing widespread though so don't get too excited. The ridge builds back in Saturday and Sunday, so look for temperatures to climb and rain chances to drop. Hotter and mostly dry weather will likely carry into early next week as well.
Looking at the tropics, things are getting a little more interesting, but nothing the western Gulf coast should be worried about.
