No big changes...yet

Hot and dry weather continues through the end of the week as the stubborn ridge of high pressure stays in place. Very low rain chances will develop over Acadiana Friday with a weak front leading to much better rain chances Saturday and Sunday. Rain chances will be a bit lower over Houston with the weak front, but its much better than what we've had. Locally strong thunderstorms with very gusty winds and a lot of lightning could become a threat (which is typical coming off of a dry/hot spell) on Saturday. Timing and intensity of storms is still very much in question though.

Looking at temps...hottest temperatures should be today. However, as winds drop off ahead of the weak front Saturday, we could see a spike in temperatures in the afternoon before showers and storms move in. Sunday and into next week, afternoon highs should average a good few degrees cooler, but it will still be quite hot outside of showers and storms.
