Nice morning

Praise God for a few nice mornings...especially this morning. The humidity will return today and tomorrow, and the afternoons will be hot, but they won't be far from typical late summer temperatures.

No rain is expected today, but we will see a slight chance of a few showers tomorrow afternoon. Anything that does pop up tomorrow won't be very significant and should be brief. The expected weak cold front is still on track to slide in on Wednesday and should be a catalyst for better rain chances mid to late week. I'm still not expecting a drought buster, at least not for all areas, but some spots could an inch or two of rain over the second half of the week. High rain chances will exist across SE TX with a little drier air in place over Acadiana. Also, the disturbances that will be interacting with the front will be coming out of northwest Texas.

Some models show drier air moving in next weekend which will decrease rain chances but could lead to some more pleasant mornings and evenings. However, other data points to the front lingering over the area and keeping rain chances elevated and humidity in place. Still too early to tell. I'm leaning towards the drier forecast.

Still no tropical threats on the horizon.
