Isolated nasty storms possible

There won't be a lot of thunderstorm activity late this afternoon and this evening, but the few storms that pop could produce some locally strong wind gusts. Lightning and very heavy downpours will come with the storms as well.

Another very hot day is on tap tomorrow, but thunderstorm activity looks even more interesting. While a good portion of the area could stay dry, a few clusters of storms could become quite strong and blast through sometime between mid afternoon and tomorrow evening. Damaging wind gusts will be an elevated concern for areas that see those storms.

The forecast beyond tomorrow remains a bit uncertain, but temperatures will trend down and rain chances will remain in the forecast as a weak front sags into the area.
