Houston stays wet...Acadiana getting wetter

Very muggy start this morning will translate to scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon over SE TX. We could see a few storms popping right at noon or just before, with increasing activity through the first half of the afternoon.

It might take a little longer for things to get going over Acadiana, but by 2-3pm, there should be at least a few widely scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Nothing should be too strong today, just occasional lightning and brief heavy rain.

Much of the same is expected tomorrow with rain chances trending down over Houston Wednesday. A good chance of scattered showers and storms will continue over Cajun Country Wednesday, but they'll start to drop some there by Thursday. Look for humidity to trend downwards slightly Wednesday and Thursday, so morning might not feel quite as muggy. Afternoons will be hot though.
