Hot...but non 0% chances of rain

If you just look at the temperature forecast, today and tomorrow will be the hottest days, but Wednesday through Friday will be very hot as well. Low 100s are in the cards for today and tomorrow, but highs should average near 99F or 100F the rest the week. Ok, with that out of the way, lets look at rain chances! A disturbance rolling out of northern Louisiana will lead to a much more interesting forecast today and tomorrow. It will make a dent in the strong ridge and lead to at least a few isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon/evening. Where exactly...its very hard to tell based on the small scale nature of the disturbance. But, its looking hopefully for much of Acadiana. Farther west, the Houston area will likely be too far beneath the center of the ridge and away from the disturbance to lead to any activity. But, can't rule out a storm or two firing farther west late today or tonight. Something to keep in mind...any thunderstorms that mange to fire could become briefly strong and capable of some strong wind gusts and brief very heavy rainfall. Of course there will be lightning too. Thunderstorms won't last too long, so if you get one, put a few buckets out to get as much water as you can. lol.
Tomorrow, we could see enough lingering moisture from the disturbance to allow for a few more isolated thunderstorms. The coverage will be less than 30%, but it could cool a few areas off briefly. What happens today will hold some significance to tomorrow's forecast.
The rest of the week looks mostly dry, but an isolated sea breeze shower or storm could pop up.
