Hot, but feeling better

The drier air spreading over the region will certainly feel pretty good in the mornings and evenings the next few days, but even during the hot temperatures in the afternoon, its not feeling as bad thanks to the lower heat index.
Moisture will start to surge back in Friday and more so on Saturday, especially over Acadiana. It'll take a bit more time for moisture to return over SE TX. Increased moisture will result in rain chances, and they are looking pretty healthy for the weekend. On Friday, it will climb up to 20-30% in Acadiana, but its looking like 50-60% Saturday and Sunday. A quarter to a half of inch is possible each day and some spots could get up to an inch to inch and a half. Strong thunderstorms are not expected. Further west over Houston, rain chances will be lower and more in the 30-40%% range this weekend.
Daily rain chances will carry into next week with afternoon highs averaging a bit above normal, but not nearly as hot as its has been. No direct tropical threats, but its something to watch closely since we are headed towards the peak of the season.
