Hot and dry...cotinues

Not much to add these days...just continued hot and dry. There has been a nice breeze in the late afternoon and evening hours that have made the evening's outside bearable to slightly pleasant. Much better than being too cold in my opinion, but I'm a fan of the heat. A disturbance moving southeastward out of the Arklatex region will be a focus of a low chance of showers and thunderstorms over Acadiana Sunday afternoon/evening, but it isn't looking promising (for rain). Its not expected to affect the Houston area.

The strong ridge of high pressure responsible for the heat will eventually build far enough north and/or weaken to allow for some Gulf moisture to sneak in. This would allow the risk of sea breeze showers and thunderstorms to return, but based on the latest, that might not happen until late next week.
