The forecast remains on track with hot and mostly dry weather through tomorrow and an uptick in rain chances staring Sunday and increasing through the first half of next week. Can't rule out an isolated storm over Acadiana this afternoon and tomorrow, but if you get one, consider yourself extremely lucky.
Rain chances will still only be around 10-20% Sunday, but will be in the 40-60% range Tuesday through Thursday across SE TX and southern LA. Locally heavy rain could develop with the rising rain chances along with the risk of an isolated severe thunderstorm or two. Nothing is really pointing to a significant flash flooding or severe thunderstorm event. We'll have to wait until we get closer to be sure of that.
