First Tropical Depression or Storm coming soon

The low in the Gulf is looking more impressive this morning and it looks like the National Hurricane Season will label it a depression or tropical storm in the next day or so. If winds are strong enough with the circulation, it would get the name Arlene. It won't be an issue though as it will meander offshore and sink towards Cuba. It could eventually lift northeast towards Florida, but that is very uncertain. Regardless, it will stay weak and not a huge deal, unless you are offshore.

Otherwise, conditions will stay mostly dry through the end of the week but a few lucky spots might see a brief sea breeze shower or thunderstorm. Rain chances might increase just a touch on Saturday, with a more significant increase Sunday afternoon. Most dry spells end in a bit of a boom, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a few strong storms Sunday afternoon. Nothing too extreme though just gusty winds, heavy downpours and briefly frequent lightning. Still a lot of uncertainly though. Better rain chances will lie over SE TX as Acadiana will still see more influence from a stagnate area of high pressure.
