I-10 corridor looking nice this morning with low temps in the upper 60s to near 70. However, look for moisture levels and temps to rise through the week as we see some onshore flow return along with our good ole friend ridge of high pressure. Highs in the low to mid 90s will be common place through at least the weekend and lows will climb into the mid 70s for the Houston area and low 70s around Acadiana. So, mornings will still be decent, but afternoons will be pretty hot and increasingly humid.
Rainfall forecast is looking particularly discouraging. I don't see any significant chance of substantial rainfall for a while. From Lake Charles through Houston, they'll be a few daytime showers and isolated thunderstorms tomorrow through the weekend, but much of the area will miss out and the the activity that does develop won't be very expansive or long lived. We will have to watch storms that fire over north Texas Thursday. Models don't bring them into the area at this point, but they can sometimes overperform and track farther south and southeast. Farther east over Acadiana, drier air will keep rain chances a bit lower. They'll be near 0% through tomorrow then less than 20% to end the week and into the weekend.
In the extended forecast, not big weather pattern changes expected. We could see a weak front bring increased rain chances early next week, but there is a lot of uncertainty there.
