Dry and Hot

Mostly dry weather will continue today and much of the weekend as well over SE TX and southern LA. A weak front will slip in tomorrow and could lead to a few isolated showers and thunderstorms during the day tomorrow, but mainly in the afternoon and early evening. A ridge of high pressure building in will greatly limit the activity, and again, most areas will remain dry.

A disturbance moving through northern Mexico will provide some cloud cover and perhaps even a few showers Sunday over SE TX and Acadiana, but the extent of rain is very uncertain. Most likely rain will remain off to the west and southwest with just a little more cloud cover helping keep afternoon temperatures down a bit. Drier air will be moving in as well on Sunday behind the front, so humidity levels will be dropping and will remain a bit lower through Monday.
