Drier

After a few strong storms yesterday (stronger than expected), drier air is moving in. Coastal areas of SE TX and along and east of I-49 in Acadiana could still see an isolated storm or two this afternoon, but most locations will be dry today.

Humidity and moisture levels will stay lower tomorrow but look for mugginess to move back in Friday as onshore flow gradually returns. By the way, we might see some nice water at the beaches tomorrow and early Friday with the light winds (good fishing!).

While humidity does start to return Friday, rain chances should remain very low Friday with another mostly dry day expected. Afternoon thunderstorm chances do start to creep up a little Saturday as another front moves in. Timing on the front is a little uncertain as is the exact location where it will stall. If it pushes offshore, Sunday should be mostly dry. If it lingers, we could see scattered showers and storms Sunday. There could be some more nice beach fishing weather behind this front as well if it pushes offshore. After such a bad year last year with all the wind, this year is starting out much different. I do think it will be a much calmer year (wind wise) thanks to the developing El Nino.
