The weak front sagging down through the region is already leading to a few showers and thunderstorms this morning. Don't expect an all day rain, but there will be a few showers and thunderstorms around much of the day. Most areas will likely end up with less than an inch of rain, but some lucky spots could see 1-2 inches.
Showers and thunderstorms will dissipate through this evening and tonight, but we should see a few more bubble up again tomorrow morning. There will then be a continued risk of a few showers and thunderstorms through the day Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon will likely see the best coverage which should be around 60 %. Southern Acadiana through areas south of I-10 in SE TX will see the best chance of showers and thunderstorms tomorrow.
Surface high pressure will build in from the northeast mid to late week which will bring some drier air in. This will lead to less humidity and lower rain chances. Similar conditions will likely carry through next weekend.
Praise God for the rain and the trend towards more fall-ishness. ...and no active hurricane threats.
