Afternoon isolated storms

Hot July temperatures will continue through the rest of the week over Houston and Acadiana with a few lucky spots getting and afternoon thunderstorm. Acadiana likely won't see much today, like yesterday, but the daily risk of isolated storms gets going tomorrow.

Thunderstorms that do manage to develop could bring some brief very heavy rain, gusty winds and lightning. Rainfall amounts will be held in check due to the short lived nature of the storms. Timing of storms will generally be between 3-7pm

Temperatures will turn a little hotter for the weekend, but we could see rain chances increase to start next week thanks to deeper Gulf moisture moving in.
